Umbra's Story

Umbra is a one year old Lynx Point girl with big white paws and large blue eyes. She was a member of a small colony of cats that were found during a TNR project who could not be safely returned to their original location.

Even though she was not used to humans, she was placed in a foster home in hopes that she would grow to trust and make a house pet one day. She came to us along with her brother Orion.

Umbra is clumsy girl who doesn’t let that stop her from exploring, climbing and getting the zoomies! She loves playing with and cuddling with other cats, so we hope that her new home has a friend for her to help her feel safe and comfortable.

She loves wet food 2x a day and both crunchy and creamy cat-treats. She’s not much of a lap cat but loves a sunny window to look out of and a soft bed in a quiet spot for naps. She is the most affectionate in the morning at breakfast time and will weave in and out of your legs as you get her food ready, demanding pets!

She has never met children or dogs but would likely adjust if they were respectful.

This is a curious, pretty girl who wears her ear-tip like a badge in remembrance of her poignant origins.

Umbra's adoption fee is $150. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you are interested in Umbra, email the South Plains SPCA at : adoptions.spspca@gmail.com
