Twinkie's Story

Twinkie is a spunky kitten that we rescued after attempting to catch his mother for 2 years. In 2022 WE FINALLY had success after many litters, and we finally trapped her by using her kittens that she brought into the boat showroom at the Brooklyn marina she lives at. The mom, Inky, often would come in to eat , and would enter via the cat doors that were created for all the feral cats to come through. Twinkie was trapped with his 3 other siblings, 1 brother and 2 sisters of which none look like him. He is the only orange one and we have an idea who his father might be. Twinkie has been with us for a while to give him enough time to spend time with us to socialize and also, to make sure he wasn't separated from his siblings too early. They were all old enough to be separated from their mother who was finally fixed and released back to where she came from, to live out her best life a feral cat can have, with people who keep an eye out on her and make sure she is fed etc.. Just like his mother, Twinkie is a smart little fellow who LOOOOOVES his rainbow string ribbon he proudly prances around with in his mouth like a dog and his bone. He is very playful and intelligent. Due to his age he does have a good amount of energy so if you are looking for a cat to sit on your lap, he is not at that stage yet. He does love to be held and turns into a purring machine when he is picked up, but if something grabs his attention, he will want to explore ASAP. He has a hilarious way of looking out the window and likes to stand on his back legs ( look in photos ) Twinkie has been neutered, microchipped, SNAP Test- negative, treated for fleas, parasites and worms however before he will go to his new home, a final stool sample will be tested and treated depending on results. Twinkie gets along great with other cats and at this age will need to go to a home with another cat, or be adopted with another cat / kitten. He gets along perfectly with a 1 year old kitten who is very petite named Cricket ( refer to her listing for more details ) To be considered fro Twinkie please fill out the application. If unable to adopt at this time, please consider helping us support him and other kittens like him with a donation via a link below. Donations are tax deductible. THANK YOU!
