All heart.<br/><br/>Meet Twin & Heart, 10-week-old brother and sister, best friends, playmates, cuddle buddies and two of the happiest little kittens you could ask for.<br/><br/>Twin is a stunning solid-black medium-haired boy with magnificent little ear floofs and a personality that can only be described as LOVER BOY. He's sweet, affectionate, ridiculously handsome and very happy to remind you that black cats go with absolutely everything.<br/><br/>Heart is his gorgeous medium-haired brown tabby sister, complete with her own set of fabulous ear furnishings. She's beautiful, playful, sweet and always ready to join her brother in whatever very important kitten business is happening next.<br/><br/>And with these two?<br/><br/>There is always important kitten business happening.<br/><br/>They're 10 weeks old, which means life is currently one enormous game. Chase the toy. Chase each other. Climb the thing. Pounce on absolutely nothing. Wrestle. Get distracted. Run somewhere else. Come back. Wrestle again.<br/><br/>Then suddenly they're exhausted, curled up together looking like tiny angels who have never caused a single disturbance in their lives.<br/><br/>Sure, guys. We believe you. <br/><br/>But before Twin & Heart knew how wonderful life could be, they were part of a little family trying to survive outside.<br/><br/>A kind woman saw their mama and her kittens struggling and knew she couldn't just walk away. She didn't know much about cats. She didn't have some grand rescue plan.<br/><br/>She just knew they needed help.<br/><br/>So she brought Mama and all five babies inside.<br/><br/>Then, by pure chance, she crossed paths with us one morning and asked if we could help her make sure every single one of them found the kind of home she'd hoped for when she opened her door to them in the first place.<br/><br/>And that is how Twin & Heart found their way to Whiskers Fund.<br/><br/>Now these two don't have to worry about surviving anything. Their days are filled with toys, full bellies, people to love, siblings to tackle and the very serious responsibility of being kittens.<br/><br/>They're wonderfully social little babies, too. Other cats are great, kitty-friendly dogs are welcome, and kids sound fantastic because Twin & Heart have one major requirement for their future household:<br/><br/>Somebody better be ready to PLAY.<br/><br/>They've got growing to do, trouble to find, naps to take and an entire lifetime ahead of them.<br/><br/>Because sometimes rescue starts with experience, resources and a plan.<br/><br/>And sometimes it starts with one person looking at a family in need and saying:<br/><br/>“I don't know what I'm doing yet... but I'm not leaving you out here.”<br/><br/>That one decision changed everything for Twin & Heart.<br/><br/>Now they just need someone to make the next one. <br/><br/>TWIN & HEART<br/>10 weeks old • Brother & sister • Medium-haired<br/>Cat friendly • Kitty-friendly dog approved • Kid friendly<br/>Professional players • Exceptional ear floofs • Full-time sweethearts<br/><br/>Two little lives saved by one kind heart—now looking for one forever home. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines (age appropriate), dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped!<br/><br/>You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyones time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose.<br/><br/>We are very quick to respond and process applications! All animals are posted until they have gone home to their new family. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. Please apply quickly and be prepared to welcome them into your home within a few days if you are interested.<br/><br/>The Adoption Process:<br/>After our volunteers receive the application, they contact the potential adopter to set up an interview. During the interview they will:<br/>discuss the animal the adopter is applying to adopt,<br/>talk to the adopter about their experience with animals,<br/>find out more about the type of animal the adopter is looking to adopt,<br/>go over any questions the rescue may have regarding your application,<br/>help find the perfect fit for the adopter's family and lifestyle,<br/>and answer any questions the adopter has about the animal they are looking to adopt, the rescue, and how the adoption process works.<br/><br/>As part of the approval process, we require 2 non-family personal references. Our volunteers contact both references and have conversations regarding the potential adopter. If we are unable to reach the references provided, additional references may be requested. We also require a vet check. We will call the vet to conduct a short reference check.<br/><br/>A video walk-through of the adopter's home (and yard, if adopting a dog) is also required. The safety of our animals is one of our top priorities. They deserve to have a safe and secure place to live. The video can be sent to the Whiskers Fund email address or Facebook messenger upon submitting your application. When submitting the video, please reference which animal(s) you are applying to adopt.<br/><br/>Once the adopter is approved and matched with an animal, we will make arrangements for the animal to go to their new home. We hope to have each animal in their new home within a week. We are very clear that we will be keeping in touch and checking in for updates.<br/><br/>Interested in Fostering?<br/>We would love to have you join our family!
