Tweedle's Story

Meet Tweedle, the silver tiger tabby with bright green eyes and zero interest in being ordinary. This 7-year-old queen is friendly, whip-smart, and proudly independent—she likes things her way, thank you very much. One of her greatest passions? Climbing anything tall enough to make her feel majestic. A big, sturdy cat tree is basically her throne waiting to happen.

Tweedle enjoys her “me time,” but don’t be fooled—she absolutely wants her human nearby for pets, massages, and moral support. She responds to the name Tweedle like a pro, so it’s best to stick with it or pick something that sounds similar. She’ll also chat with you here and there, especially when she thinks you need a reminder about something important… like snack time.

She’s a four-paws-on-the-ground kind of lady, not a fan of being scooped up, but she’ll happily follow you around like the elegant little shadow she is. Tweedle would do best in a home with adults or older kids who understand her vibe. She’s open to adult cat roommates as long as introductions are handled politely, and she finds kittens pretty interesting too. Dogs, however? Hard pass—she has no interest in competing with the household pupper.

Tweedle is equal parts sass, sweetness, and sophistication, and she’s ready to grace her perfect home with her charming presence.

If interested in meeting Tweedle, please submit an application here: https://fjcasp.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application

Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets's Adoption Policy
At FJCASP, we dedicate a great deal of love, time, and resources to caring for our animals, and our top priority is to see them go to permanent, loving homes with people who have the knowledge and means to provide proper care. Adoption Fee: $80–$150 Vet References Required We require that all potential adopters provide veterinary references. This allows us to confirm that any current or past pets have been kept up to date on vaccinations, preventatives, and are spayed/neutered. Most veterinary offices are familiar with this request. Our goal is to ensure that our animals are placed in homes where they will remain safe, healthy, and properly cared for. Long-Term Commitment Adopting a pet is a serious, long-term commitment. We want all potential adopters to understand their responsibilities and be prepared to care for an animal for its lifetime. Home Requirements To provide a safe environment, we require that adopters provide: - Proper shelter for the animal - Understanding of how to introduce a new pet to children and existing animals -Commitment to keeping the animal as an indoor pet Adoption Approval All adoptions must be finalized and approved by the FJCASP Board. This ensures oversight by experienced individuals who can confirm that all parties understand their responsibilities and that the animal’s welfare is prioritized. Adopter Responsibilities It is part of our adoption agreement that all medical treatments, veterinary costs, preventatives, food, and shelter are the sole responsibility of the adopter. Our goal is to place each animal in a loving, safe, and permanent home, and these guidelines help us ensure that every adoption is successful for both the pet and the adopter.
