Tux's Story
Meet Tux (aka Tuxalily or Mr. Lily) — a resilient, soulful boy finally ready for the safe, loving home he’s always deserved.

Tux spent years as a clever, street‑smart tomcat who managed to avoid the trap for more than 18 months. Even so, he slowly warmed up to the volunteer caring for his colony, revealing a sweet, gentle personality beneath his cautious exterior. When he eventually showed up sick and injured in July 2025, it became clear it was time to bring him inside for good.

Since then, Tux has healed beautifully. He’s now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, parasite‑treated, and enjoying the comfort of indoor life while he decompresses from his time outdoors. He’s discovered some new favorite things too — wet food, gentle pets, play time, and relaxing on the couch in the same room as his favorite people.

Tux thrives in a quiet, calm home. He can become overstimulated, so loud environments, small children, and dogs aren’t a good match. In stressful moments he may hiss or swat, so he needs adopters who can read his cues and give him space when he asks for it.

He’ll also need high‑quality, sensitive‑stomach food to keep him feeling his best. Tux is FIV+, but it doesn’t slow him down — he loves the company of other cats and would enjoy a friendly feline companion. Dogs, however, are a firm no for him.

Tux is a survivor with a tender heart who has waited a long time for the right people. If you can offer a peaceful home where he can truly relax and feel safe, he may be your perfect match.

You can apply here: https://www.scratchinc.org/adoption.
