Tuna's Story

Meet your new best friend… Tuna! A big ol’ brown tabby with a big head and (lovingly) not a single thought behind those eyes.

This handsome boy is equal parts goofy and incredibly affectionate. While he may not be winning any awards for brainpower, he more than makes up for it with his huge heart. He is super, super snuggly—honestly, a little codependent in the cutest way possible. If you’re looking for a constant companion who wants to be by your side (or on your lap) at all times, he’s your guy.

Despite his silly nature, he’s actually very adaptable and picks up on house rules quickly. He just wants to make his people happy and be wherever the love is. He’s even learning how to play fetch, which only adds to his charming, slightly ridiculous personality.

As an added bonus, he’s already eating Purina LiveClear food, which is designed to significantly reduce allergens, making him a great match for someone with mild cat allergies.

If you want a cat who will make you laugh, follow you everywhere, and love you endlessly (even if he occasionally forgets what he was doing), this big-headed sweetheart is ready to be your loyal little shadow.

Interested in Tuna? Our cats are vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and tested for FeLV, FIV, and Heartworm disease before being placed in carefully selected homes.

We are foster–based, meaning we do not have a facility. All of our cats are in foster homes in the Southern Maryland area. Our goal is to protect animals in the Chesapeake Bay area and beyond. We connect animals in need to safe homes and facilitate their access to quality veterinary care. Our rescue also provides trap-neuter-return, education, and outreach services to support the well-being of animals within the community at-large. This organization emphasizes transparency and integrity while providing educational resources to support the humane treatment of animals.
