Tucker's Story

Meet Tucker!

If you're looking for a cat with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Tucker is ready to meet you! This handsome 5-year-old tuxedo Domestic Shorthair is equal parts playful, affectionate, and wonderfully goofy. He loves making new friends and isn't shy about showing his affection -- don't be surprised if he decides your shoulders are the perfect place for cuddles!

Tucker is a confident, curious boy who enjoys exploring his surroundings and spending time with both people and other cats. Whether he's chasing a toy, wrestling with a feline friend, or soaking up attention from his favorite humans, Tucker is happiest when he's part of the action. After a busy day of play, you'll usually find him stretched out in a cat tree for a well-earned nap or relaxing in the catio, basking in the sunshine.

Tucker loves people of all ages and has done well with other cats. His experience with dogs is unknown. He is litter box trained, neutered, and ready to find a family to call his own.

A Note About FIV

Tucker is FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive. While that diagnosis can sound intimidating, many FIV+ cats live long, happy, and healthy lives with no special day-to-day care beyond routine veterinary care and living indoors.

FIV affects a cat's immune system, so it's important to help keep Tucker healthy by providing regular veterinary care, good nutrition, and an indoor-only lifestyle where he's protected from illness and injury. Many FIV+ cats enjoy the same playful, loving lives as any other cat and make wonderful companions.

To help ensure the health and safety of all the cats involved, we adopt our FIV+ cats to indoor-only homes where they will either be the only cat or live with another FIV+ cat in accordance with Sanctuary One's adoption policy.

If you're looking for a playful companion, a professional shoulder snuggler, and a best friend who will keep you smiling, Tucker may be the perfect addition to your family.

Submit your Adoption Application today:

https://sanctuaryone.org/rescue-animals/adopt-us/adoption-application/
