Tubby's Story

You know the Very Hungry Caterpillar? Well I’m the Very Hungry Cat-erpillar. OK, let me explain. My name is Tubby, and my favorite thing in the world is food. Wet, dry, even my chonky foster sister’s diet food – I love it all. You could say it’s the way to my heart, but to be honest, I’m very easy to win over.

In fact, I love cuddling with humans just as much as I love eating. I like to follow my foster mom from room to room demanding head butts and chin scratches. When I sit next to her on the couch, I chatter until she stops what she’s doing and pays attention to me. I even come running when she calls my name because I know I’m either going to get a snug or a snack, and I am happy either way.

A few more things I love are sitting in the windows and watching the world go by, napping in sunbeams, and playing with as many toys as I can get my paws on. But do you know what I don’t love? Other animals. I tolerate the other cats and the small dog in the house, but I really want to be able to soak up all of my new family’s affection. I would also do best in a home without small kids because I get a bit overstimulated, especially during playtime.

What else should you know about me? Let’s see…The vets and my foster mom think I’m around 2-4 years old. I have the great health and energy of a young cat, but the napping skills of a great-grandma, so really you get the best of both worlds. I like tall scratching posts so I can get some stretches while I keep my claws in good shape. My foster mom clips my nails regularly, and she claims it’s pretty easy. I’m also a litter box expert – I never miss.

I’m spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all my shots. So I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m the whole package. The only thing that’s missing is you and a pocket full of treats. Apply to adopt me today!

Tubby is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and is FIV/FeLV negative

*To apply for Tubby, please visit our website to view our adoption guidelines and fill out our application at catcallsrescue.org/adopt *

Catcalls Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please thoroughly read the following information about adopting a Catcalls Rescue cat/kitten before applying. Must be 21+ to apply. Fill out the form thoroughly. The more information you provide, the better! Incomplete forms will not be considered. Please do not apply on a whim! Out of consideration for the time and energy of our volunteers, we ask that you apply only when certain that you are ready and able to adopt. We cannot hold cats/kittens for adoption. Kittens do best when they have a friend! Kittens must be adopted in pairs or to homes with existing pets. All current pets in applicants’ homes must be spayed and neutered and up to date on vaccines. Cats in the home must be FIV/FeLV tested. Safety is a priority at Catcalls Rescue, so a virtual or in-person home check will be completed prior to adoption to make sure your furry friend will be safe and comfortable in their new environment! All Catcalls Rescue cats and kittens come with health records and are dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, FIV/FeLV tested, and microchipped. Please note that due to a high volume of applications, you may not receive a response. We will reach out to applicants that are best suited for each feline within one week of receiving their application. **Emails asking us if we have received apps only slows up the process for everyone. We can't respond to those any faster than we can respond to a good application! Please keep that in mind! If you are the best fit for our kitties, you will absolutely hear from us! Thank you!**
