Trufa's Story
Trufa, 4 months old, tortie

I'm a gentle, sweet little girl, and I can be a bit shy at first—but can you blame me? My life hasn’t been easy. I was found abandoned on the streets of Old San Juan, struggling to survive on my own at such a young age. After all, I’m just a kitten. Thankfully, a kind volunteer rescued me, and now I’m safe—but I’m still learning to adjust to this new life.

Right now, I’m taking it easy in my hammock, catching up on rest after fending for myself. Surviving on the streets was exhausting, but I’m learning to trust again and discovering that love and safety exist.

Once I feel secure, I promise to fill your days with gentle purrs, cuddles, and quiet companionship. With a little patience, I’ll warm up quickly—and when I do, I’ll love you with all my heart, forever.

Could you be the family I’ve been dreaming of?

Trufa is rescued and under the care of Save a Gato. Any applicant needs to apply through the website of our organization https://www.saveagato.com/available-cats

Although our cats are all located in Puerto Rico, they can fly to mainland US. We can usually find flight angels to bring the cat to you once you are approved for adoption. We don't charge for arranging the trip, the air ticket is $125 on top of adoption fee.
