Trout the Toothless's Story
Hi, I'm Trout, or as my foster calls me, Trout the Toothless! One reason for that name is that I look like the cute character from "How to Train Your Dragon." The other reason is, you guessed it, I'm toothless!

There are actually a lot of perks to this: I can't bite you (though I love "gumming" people when I'm playing) and I'll never need a dental in the future!

Despite not having teeth, I eat everything my heart desires-wet food, dry food, and treats... I LOVE my Churu treats especially! I actually get so excited when I'm getting ready to eat that I run laps around the room until my bowl is full. My foster thinks I'm so silly, but I just can't contain myself!

While I'm the sweetest girl when I feel safe, I've had a tough life. I grew up in a hoarding situation with more than two dozen other cats. I'm 7 years old now, and it's likely I've just had litter after litter of kittens, never having the chance to be a spoiled girl myself. Because I'm so gentle and submissive, I was often picked on by the other cats and have the scars to show it, so I would prefer to be the only cat with my future family.

My future family must also understand that due to my traumatic past, I will take longer to decompress in a new environment than the average cat, but once I do, it's so worth it! A quiet, low-traffic home would allow me to truly be my best self.

If I sound like the perfection addition to your family, please fill out an adoption application today!

Adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPH/Cat

Spayed, up to date on vaccines, and FELV/FIV negative.

Located in a loving foster home in Livonia, MI.
