Trooper's Story

Trooper was recused from a local animal control with a bum leg. She has since been treated, and is now fully recovered and ready for adoption! She is a little shy, but once she's in your lap she purrs and loves the attention!

Our adoption application can be found at www.centraliahumanesocietyil.org, and emailed in. Applicants must have current/past pets current vaccinations, taken to the vet regularly, and dogs must be on monthly heartworm prevention to be approved for adoption. All of our animals are fully vetted: microchipped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and current on heartworm/flea prevention.

Centralia Humane Society's Adoption Policy
We require an application process for anyone wanting to adopt on of our pets. We check to make sure all of your current/past pets were up-to-date on their vaccines and if they're canines, they're on monthly heartworm preventative. We realize that some may think this is too strict - however, we have seen the tragedies that not doing these things can cause and therefore want the very best for our animals. We treat our adoption process like children's adoption. Because these pets were someone's once, and they would want them to be well cared for in a loving home, and that is what we strive to do.
