Trixie's Story

Trixie is truly one of a kind. She has defied the odds and learned to navigate the world despite having very poor eyesight. Trixie cannot see clearly until something is right in front of her, and we believe she mostly sees shadows. Even so, she adapts beautifully and gets around with surprising confidence.

Trixie loves other cats and finds great comfort in feline companionship. She also loves her people deeply once she feels safe. Loud noises and sudden sounds can frighten her, and when she’s startled, her instinct is to run. Because of this, she will need a watchful home where doors and windows are kept secure.

She may occasionally scurry under your feet, so her humans will need to be mindful when walking around her. Trixie would do best in a calm, quiet household with patient adopters and other friendly cats to help her feel confident and loved.

With understanding and a peaceful environment, Trixie will make an incredibly special and rewarding companion.
