Trixie's Story
Trixie is a 1-year old female tortie kitty, who was found by a Maddie & Friends volunteer a few months ago in a managed cat colony. At first it appeared she may be feral and not suited for an inside home, so she was spayed, tested (neg.) for feline AIDS/Leukemia, and given her shots. Her ear was also tipped, as she was to be placed back in the colony where she was found. It was after the surgery and during recovery that the volunteer realized she had been an inside kitty and was most likely dumped at the colony. She wasn't feral at all. In fact, she was a very loving and social girl.
Trixie didn't get a home for Christmas, but is hoping to start a new year with a family of her own.
She is living with other cats, and manages to behave herself, but it seems she may want to be an only kitty. She is extremely playful. She also appears to be dog friendly.
