Triscuit

We think Triscuit was born in the summer of 2024. She was trapped when her feeder realized she was pregnant, and reached out to Cat Rescue Network to prevent the kittens from being born on the street. She was trapped just in time, and we were surprised when this small waif of a cat, almost a kitten herself, had six kittens of her own. Triscuit, a young, undernourished mother, tried her best to take care of her kittens, but was unable to produce enough milk. Fortunately, her mother (Melba Toast, also for adoption) stepped in to feed, clean and cuddle the kittens, helping them to grow up healthy and strong. Now that the kittens have grown, Triscuit, like so many mothers, has been left behind and continues to look for a forever home of her own. <br/><br/>While initially timid, she is increasingly affectionate with her fosters, giving leg rubs and asking for pets with her little high-pitched little mews. She does not yet trust people enough to be picked up, but loves to spend time near her fosters and hang out with them. She loves to run and play with Melba and Soda Cracker (Sodie), who’s an adopted member of the family. Triscuit is a sweet and kind kitty who would prefer to be adopted with at least one member of her family – either Melba or Sodie. (We would be thrilled if she could be adopted with both!) Triscuit would do best in a quiet and patient home that allows her to progress at her own pace. She would probably be happiest in a home without young children or dogs. <br/><br/><br/>NOTE 1: Spays, neuters, first vaccinations and vet checks are included in the adoption fee.<br/><br/>NOTE 2: Because a young kitten needs feline companionship, it is the policy of Cat Rescue Network that kittens 6 months or younger be adopted out in pairs unless there is another kitten or young cat already in the home.<br/><br/>NOTE 3: Cat Rescue Network only adopts their cats to homes in the National Capital region of Canada
