Treble's Story
** In order to adopt an un-spayed kitty from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "foster to adopt" the kitty and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay surgery. You will may to bring the kitty back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay surgery**

This beautiful young lady is our sweet friend, Treble. This little doll was found as a stray kitty and brought to our shelter so that we can help her find her special and loving forever home. Sweet Treble has spent time at the shelter, but is now lucky enough to reside in a wonderful foster home. Treble has an estimated birthdate of 9/5/23, so she's just two years old. The reason that this little darling needs a special forever home is because she hasn't been dealt the easiest hand, and is FeLV (feline leukemia) positive. Even though she has FeLV, we think that this sweet girl is deserving of a chance for the loving home that has so far evaded her. Treble is a very calm, laid back and loving girl and she would do wonderfully in a loving and quiet home. She has the nicest, most calm disposition, and we absolutely adore this sweetheart. She can live with other FeLV positive kitties, alone as the queen of the house, or with dogs. FeLV cannot be passed to people or dogs, just to other kitties. If you aren't familiar with FeLV it can sound kind of scary, but it can also be manageable and some kitties even fight it off. It's a virus that kitties can be born with or picked up through saliva from other kitties. It can be managed with stress management, a healthy diet and veterinary care. We don't know if Treble will be a kitty who fights it off, or if she may be a kitty who's life is shortened by the virus. But what we do know is that she is the sweetest little girl and deserves love and to be in a loving home and not stuck in the shelter. Are you the special person that she's looking for? Do you have a heart for the underdog, or kitty in this case? If so, Treble may be just the right fit for you. We are so hopeful that this sweetheart can find her forever home soon as the stressful shelter is just no place for any kitty, let alone a kitty with FeLV. If you would like to meet this special girl, please complete an application and schedule a meet and greet! Remember that this gorgesou gal resides in a foster home, and is not at the shelter, so a meet and greet must be scheduled.

West Jefferson, Ohio
#hsmcohio

Our adoption fee is $100.00 for kittens up to 6 months of age and $80 for cats 7 months and older.
