Trader Jane's Story

TJ and her brother had been hanging out in West Village, desperately wanting to come inside for months. A man who was feeding them brought them to us because they were not fixed and not getting the veterinary care that they needed. TJ's brother was adopted months ago.

TJ, on the other hand has a heart murmur. After an echocardiogram it was determined she needed medication to help her heart. She was recently spayed and is now 100% back to being the sweet angel she is. She will be on medication for her lifetime! She will also need bi-annual appointments with her cardiologist.

She enjoys looking out the window sill, purring in your lap and retreating into cozies just to be near you. She doesn't use her claws, but also isn't afraid to grab your hand and give it an affectionate nibble to say: 'I love you,' or 'Play with me.' This very spoiled girl also isn't afraid to use her voice either to get what she wants most - your attention.

TJ would do best in a calm environment due to her heart. She scares easily and hide to calm down, so rambunctiousness is best avoided. She may do well with other cats as long as they are calm by nature. We don't know how she does with dogs, she will be fine with gentle children.
