Tory's Story
Meet Tory!

This lovely girl was abandoned in an apartment complex (like so many others :-( . She had a very serious injury to one of her eyes. Our vet did not feel her eye needed to be removed and even thinks she may be able to see very slightly out of it. We did have her spayed because the world does not need any more kittens!

Tory was estimated by our vet to be young at only bout 1.5 to 2 years old. she has a lovely, long dilute tortoiseshell coat and she is a big girl. Not fat, just big boned, lol. She has a distinct mane.

Tory sleeps on the bed with her foster and will sometimes sleep side-by-side with the foster's cat, but we think she would prefer to be an only cat. She's not overtly affectionate, meaning she doesn't need to be up in your face all the time, but she is a very nice cat.

**Important: Indigo Rescue adopts cats to indoor-only homes or homes with catios. We do this for the safety and longevity of the cats and we hope that our community will learn from our example. Outdoor cats or indoor/outdoor cats fall victim to many predators, including coyotes, eagles, hawks, owls, and even loose neighborhood dogs. They can be hit by cars, poisoned, or trapped and taken away by people who don’t like cats trespassing on their property. They can also spread diseases such as feline leukemia and FIV, neither of which are treatable. Cats will live a very long, enriched life with just a companion kitty as a playmate, a few toys and a cat tree. Please consider re-thinking your cats lives. Thank you!!

**Please note: Indigo rescue only adopts to homes within 30 miles of Beaverton, Oregon. The first part of our process is to have you complete our online adoption application. This helps us make compatible matches. You can find the application on our Indigorescue.org website under the adoption tab. We’ll get back to you from there to hopefully arrange a meet for you.
