Torren's Story
Hi! My name is Torren, and I am the biggest snuggle bug you will ever meet. When I came to Good Mews, I was scared of everyone and everything. I discovered that being around a lot of other kitties made me nervous, and I didn't like to come out of my cubby. I was so scared, I had tummy troubles. As soon as I went into foster care, my tummy troubles stopped, and I started to feel more relaxed. It did take a while for me to feel comfortable with my foster mom and her two cats. I am very shy, so I wasn't sure about the other two felines in the house, but they don't seem to mind me, so I don't mind them. We get along well and take naps together almost every day. One of them is not a huge fan of mine, so she leaves me alone, and I leave her alone. Once I knew I was safe and could trust my human, I loved sleeping in her bed and lying next to her. Now when she goes downstairs, I'll follow her and lie next to her or sit in her lap.

But because being at the shelter wasn’t ideal for me, it was decided that I would be adopted out of my foster home. But it’s tough because when people come to the shelter, they fall in love with the kitties there and I don’t get any exposure. So hopefully someone read about me on the website and will want to adopt me! How does it work? You fill out an application then email adopt@goodmews.org to request a meet and greet. Then you will come to my foster home to see if I am a good fit for you.

I would do best in a home where I am a single cat or with one other laid back, calm kitty. And my adopter will need to be patient while I adjust to yet another change in my life.

I do want to mention that I am FIV+ but really, that is not a big deal! It just means my immune system is compromised and If I start to get sick, you take me to the vet sooner rather than later. I can live with cats that are not positive because it’s only transmitted thought severe bit wounds and I am such a sweet laid-back guy, I would never fight or hurt anyone! If you want more information about it, you can find it here: https://www.goodmews.org/advice

So please reach out if you want to meet me!
