Tootsie's Story
If Miss Manners ran an etiquette school for kitts, Tootsie would be first in the class. A tortoiseshell as gorgeous as this little fur girl might be expected to have airs and graces, but she’s as respectful and approachable as they come. Got a visitor? Tootsie will be first to sweetly introduce herself. Dinner time? Tootsie, the newest arrival, will move to a different room and wait patiently until her more senior buddies are served.
Bedtime? She’s been warming your spot on and off all day for you. Then she moves to her side of the bed and keeps a vigilant eye on you all night. (No running over your face or “combing” your hair as dawn breaks for Tootsie.)
Tootsie is so well-mannered, in fact, that she’ll meow just the once to remind you it’s time for her favorite treat. (She knows very well that her sheer gorgeousness and presence guarantee immediate treats.)
Strategizing that bedtime is her special one-on-one time, she lets the other furkids have their fun and time with foster mom in the evening. But she’s politely indulgent of cuddles and pets at any time of day or night and is just very very happy to be loved and appreciated for her adorable, cuddly, impeccably mannered self. Can’t wait to meet charismatic little Tootsie? She’ll be delighted to find a spot for you on her social calendar.

Tootsie was born June 1, 2024. She is good with other cats but would probably be fine as an only pet as well.

If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Tootsie, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com and Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com.
