Tootie's Story
Tootsie arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we are still learning about her personality. She is a very shy girl who needs some time to warm up to people, but once she feels safe, she shows her sweet side. Tootsie would do best in a patient, quiet home that allows her to adjust at her own pace. With gentle encouragement, she will accept pets and may even sit quietly in your lap-but she can be easily startled, so calm surroundings are important.

Her history with other pets and children is unknown, so slow and careful introductions are recommended. A home with children who respect her boundaries and give her space when she needs it would be ideal.

While Tootsie is shy, she has a gentle and loving nature just waiting to be discovered. With patience, a calm routine, and lots of understanding, she can blossom into a truly devoted companion.

*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.

**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
