Tony's Story
Meet Tony! Tony is a sweet 5-7 year old boy looking for a peaceful home to relax. This year did not start off great for Tony, he was found outside after being left behind by his previous owner. Because of this, he can be cautious and grumpy at first, but he warms up quickly with the right people. He loves to be pet and even likes to be held and cuddled once he gets to know you. When he's had enough attention, he'll let you know with a little chirp. Tony spends most of his days sleeping but is a huge fan of catnip and wand toys when he is in the mood to play. In general, he is a very relaxed and low energy cat. He very much values his alone time but makes it very clear when he's ready to cuddle.

In January 2025, Tony was diagnosed with diabetes. As of March, he is officially in remission! Remission for Tony means that he is currently healthy and doing great, he no longer needs insulin injections. However, diabetic cats can unfortunately relapse at any time. Like any other cat, Tony will just need regular check ups at the vet to maintain his health. Besides insulin, Tony's diabetes was, and still is, largely maintained by his diet. His diet is not much different than other cats, we will go through everything with potential adopters.

Tony does not seem to like other cats, but may do well with a cat of similar demeanor. Behavior with dogs unknown but he does get anxious with barking and loud noises. Behavior with kids unknown.

estimated 5-7yrs old, neutered male, 11lbs

Click on more about us to fill out our adoption application
