Tonka's Story

Tonka is a very sweet and special feline looking for a loving home that understands his unique needs. He has cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition that affects his balance and coordination, which gives him an adorable wobbly walk and makes everyday movements a little different. Despite this, Tonka is happy, affectionate, and enjoys attention, gentle play, and cozy places to relax.

Because of his condition, Tonka would do best in a home with limited stairs, and a thoughtfully prepared environment that prioritizes his safety—soft surfaces, easy-to-access essentials, and minimized fall risks will help him thrive. He may be happiest as the only pet, as other animals can sometimes misread his body language. If there are dogs in the home, they should be calm, gentle, and not overly enthusiastic about cats.

Tonka’s condition does not define him—it simply makes him unique. With a patient and caring adopter, he will make a deeply devoted companion and bring plenty of love, charm, and inspiration to his forever family.
