Tommy's Story
Meet Tommy – The Sweetheart Ambassador
Adult • Laid-Back Lovebug

Tommy wasn’t always in foster care—he was found while volunteers were trapping feral cats to spay/neuter and vaccinate. From the moment they laid hands on him, it was clear: Tommy wasn’t feral at all—he was just a lost soul in need of love. No owner came forward, and the colony’s feeders didn’t recognize him. We suspect someone may have cruelly dumped him, and he tried to survive the only way he could—by joining a group of community cats.

Despite that rough start, Tommy is all heart. He’s the kind of cat who runs up to greet you when you enter the room, hoping for some love and pets. He gets along wonderfully with every single foster cat and kitten he meets—he’s truly the ambassador of our foster home, welcoming new arrivals with calm affection. While he’s not a big fan of being picked up, he adores attention and gentle company.

Tommy is FIV-positive, but with his easygoing nature, he’s perfectly safe to live with other cats. FIV cats can live long, happy lives—and Tommy is ready to do just that. He’d thrive with a screened-in porch to lounge in and a home where he gets more one-on-one time with people. His beautiful, soulful eyes say it all: this boy just wants love.

If you're looking for a peaceful, affectionate companion who gets along with everyone, Tommy is your guy.

Apply to adopt: https://friendsofelines.org/adopt
Adoption Fee: $85

All cats and kittens are vaccinated with FVRCP and Rabies if old and large enough for their vaccinations. All cats are neuter or spayed before final adoption date. All cats are also microchipped!

Our adoption process:
1) Fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofelines.org/adopt
2) Meet with the cat in their foster home
3) If you and the cat are a match then we will set a take home date 1-7 days after the meeting depending on schedules.

** We are not able to hold cats for a particular family longer than about 7 days, unless the cat is available for pre-adoption which will be noted on their profile. Please wait to apply until you are ready to take a cat home. **

We are a completely foster based nonprofit rescue run by volunteers. We do this work out of love.
