Tommy's Story

Meet Tommy! Sweet Tommy girl (yes, Tommy IS a female) used to live the life of a barn cat until her people retired and sold the farm. And then she became an "inside" cat and boy, she is NOT looking back! She does really well indoors, and we think she deserves to live a life of leisure, in the comfort of a home.

Tommy LOVES people - she is definitely a "people" cat - she warms up quickly and easily to humans and is a warm and wonderful cat to have around. She is quick to make friends with humans and is often the first to greet our volunteers in the cat building. She loves to cuddle and can often be found enjoying the fresh air of her "catio" - so we think having access to a secure outdoor space, even a small one, would be enjoyable for Tommy.

Sweet Tommy LOVES to eat - you might be able to tell that from her "not so slight" frame. She is a robust and healthy girl - she loves to eat treats and definitely enjoys her canned food!

We think Tommy would do best with an experienced cat owner - someone who can deal with her tantrums toward other cats when she first meets them. She might enjoy a family that has a submissive feline friend in the household. She's not likely to fit well with other senior cats since her bossy-ness may be unwelcome and overwhelming for an older cat.

Our cats must be placed in indoor only homes. All our cats are altered (spayed or neutered), vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FELV before going home with their new families.
