We’re Tomm and Jax, bonded brothers who are hoping to be adopted into the same forever home.<br/><br/>Tomm says, “I’m a very quiet, calm, and handsome 12-pound Bombay mix fella with a sleek, shiny black patent-leather coat and big golden-globe eyes. I’m one of those Velcro boys who loves to stick close to Foster Meowmy where I can demand endless hours of gentle stroking and loving ear-scritches.”<br/><br/>Jax says, “I’m a very sweet, shy, and gorgeous 11-pound mitted gray tabby fella with white encircling my neck and embellishing my chest. Do you like my cute brown half-moustache on my left lip? I love Foster Meowmy’s gentle stroking and loving ear-scritches. She’s learned not to pet me too fast or roughly so that I won’t get scared. When she tickles my belly, I give her well-meaning love-bites. Since they sometimes hurt, she’s learned to focus her petting attention on my ears, chin, and cheeks.”<br/><br/>We were less than a year old when we showed up as homeless strays in Foster Meowmy’s neighborhood. Initially she trapped, neutered, and released us. After about a year of feeding us, when her last foster kitten had been adopted, she decided that, with a little time and patience, we’d make wonderful indoor companion pets. It did take a while for her to earn our trust, but once she did (thanks to treat rewards!), we’re now all hers!! Boy howdy! With 20-20 hindsight, we much prefer brimming food/ water bowls and climate-controlled indoor life. Our foster home is like an oasis from battling Houston’s derechos, hurricanes, and winter storms. The hardscrabble outdoor life is for the birds! We have some catching-up to do as young adult fellas because playing with toys is an all-new adventure for us!<br/><br/>Jax continues, “I’m shy and initially fearful, but, as my BFF, Tomm helps make me feel safe. When I first arrived, I felt overwhelmed. As I felt more comfortable over the next few weeks, I started settling in and exploring my new “digs." I’m confident that, once I figure out any new environment, I’ll feel relaxed and secure.”<br/><br/>Please consider adopting us as a bonded pair.
