Tom's Story

Please read Tom's bio, requirements for adoption and if you think he would be a good then then go to avacats.org and fill out an online application form. An adoption co ordinator will be in touch
Update Jan 2nd, 2026 - Tom is now at the Pet Valu, 610 King St W in Hamilton . Go pay this cutie a visit.
Dec 17th, 2025 - Tom came to our rescue when he arrived as a stray at Hamilton Animal Services - when his stray time was up AVA took him in to the rescue. He went to our vet where he was flea treated, dewormed, received his FVCRP and rabies vaccine, microchipped and Neutered. He was estimated to be about 3 years old. He was also viral tested and he was FIV and FeLeuk negative. He is now recuperating in his foster home and absolutely LOVES his bed, great food, and toys. He purrs up a storm and loves to be brushed. Tom is a big cat - not fat but big, - huge paws and a Purrfect personality. His adoption fee is $250. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. He is not that thrilled about the other cats in the foster home so would do well as the only cat.
