Meet Toffee! Toffee is a 4-month-old female domestic shorthair kitten with a playful spirit and a sweet personality. She loves chasing toys, exploring her surroundings, and turning everyday moments into fun adventures. Her curiosity and kitten energy keep her busy, but she also enjoys slowing down for gentle affection and cozy moments. Toffee is loving, friendly, and full of charm. She’s still growing and discovering the world, and she’s ready to bring happiness, playfulness, and lots of love into her forever home. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Johnson County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Any animal adopted from the shelter receive vaccinations (including rabies), microchip, and must be spayed/neutered prior to leaving the facility. Dog adoption fees are: $200.00 Cats 6 months and older adoption fees: $100.00 Kittens under 6 months of age $125.00 We accept CASH and CREDIT CARDS! Interested applicants must meet the following guidelines: Have a completed two page application on file. Be over 18 years of age and have a valid identification card. (Valid identification cards include any picture government identification - Driver's License or ID, military identification, or passport) Must be 21 years of age to adopt any bully breed. Meet the animal prior to adoption: We do not adopt out an animal until after the applicant has spent time with the animal. Please note: We do NOT place holds on animals. Be in compliance with any previous adoptions through our facility. Please note: We often have declawed cats available for adoption. However; these cats were previously declawed before coming to our facility. No cat adopted from our facility can be declawed for the life of the cat!!

Our Mission

We are the only all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
