Toby's Story

With his gorgeous, silky gray fur, Toby is the most handsome gentleman in all of the land! Toby is a sweet, loving kitty who will completely roll onto his side and lean into scratches. He really loves being pet and receiving attention. However, Toby is easily overstimulated and still gets nervous. When he's nervous or overstimulated, he may swat and retreat. For this reason, we think a home with older children or no children would be best. Toby is looking for a patient, understanding person who will set him up to succeed by slowly acclimating him to his new home. Shelter staff are happy to discuss acclimation more with potential adopters. He seems to like other cats and would likely enjoy having another kitty in the home. Toby is about 2 years old, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and is microchipped. Friends of Exeter Animals's Adoption Policy

The Exeter Animal Shelter does not do same day adoptions. In order to adopt there is a fee, but for a lifetime of happiness its worth it. Adoption fee is $75 for spayed/neutered pets. DO NOT APPLY ONLINE. Please visit the shelter and apply in person after meeting the pet you wish to adopt. If you have any questions about the animals available at the shelter, please stop in to speak with one of the Animal Control Officers, or call the shelter at 401-294-2754.
