Toby's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com
Meet Toby — your future cuddle companion

Toby’s story starts in the middle of a harsh cold spell, when he was found outside just trying to survive. Thankfully, he was rescued in time—and it didn’t take long to realize he’s not meant for life outdoors. Toby is a true sweetheart who clearly belongs in a home where he can soak up all the love he deserves.

This boy is all about affection. He’ll happily flop over for pets, lean into your hand for more, and make himself right at home in your lap. If you’re sitting, Toby’s joining. If you’re petting, Toby’s melting. He especially loves being brushed and will reward you with pure contentment.

He’s also a big fan of mealtime—Toby is very food motivated, which makes bonding with him easy and fun.

And one of his most charming features? Because of his dental, Toby’s little tongue sticks out of his mouth—it’s permanently in “blep” mode and gives him the funniest, sweetest expression (you’ll see it in his profile photo!).

Toby would do best as the only cat in the homewhere he can soak up all the attention and affection for himself.

Health-wise, Toby does have some special considerations. He has a moderate heart murmur (graded 4/6) and a history of stomatitis. While he’s already had dental care, stomatitis can be an ongoing condition, so he’ll need an adopter who is committed to regular veterinary care and monitoring his comfort over time. Toby is also FIV+, but cats with FIV can live long, happy lives with proper care.

But here’s the thing—Toby gives so much in return. He’s gentle, loving, and incredibly easy to adore—the kind of cat who just wants to be near you, curled up and content.

If you’re looking for a devoted companion and are willing to give a little extra care, Toby will absolutely fill your home with love. Please contact NTCR AT 214-454-9395 should you have any concerns or questions. Please note: We appreciate all interest in our cats and kittens, but we are an all volunteer organization. Please be patient with regard to a call back.
