LONG TERM RESIDENT SENIOR BONDED PAIR 1-6-2026 Toby is a beautiful buff, 9+ year old neutered male, that was extremely shy for years, but this past year has decided he wants to follow you around and get in on the head scratches and the attention. He has bonded with another long time senior, 13 year old Tock and they need to be adopted together. He gets along with the other cats in his free roaming room, loves treats, he's neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Toby and Tock have never spent time around children or dogs, so they are looking for a home that is calm, quiet, patiently letting them warm up in their own time, with adults and no dogs. Friendly calm cat friends are okay for Toby and Tock. C.A.R.A (Citizens for Animal Rescue and Adoption)'s Adoption Policy

Please email citizensanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application or use our online link. Once an application is approved you will be contacted to set up an appointment to visit the animals. If you let us know what you have in mind (age, gender, personality), we'll have several ready to meet. We are open to the public Monday-Saturday 1-4PM and other times by appointment. Please call 217-655-4353 or 217-799-8858 with any questions. After you've met and decided on the pet for you, you will fill out the final paperwork and you will be able to take your pet home. All adopters must be able to meet and pick up their pet as we do not offer transportation, or handle all the details for a transport and be able to pay over the phone. All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

C.A.R.A. is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit, No Kill animal shelter and rescue for homeless, injured/neglected or surrendered animals. Through community donations we are able to provide high quality care and rehabilitation for animals in our care.
