Toast's Story

LONG TIMER: Toast is a good boy and has gone through a lot! He is wanting his forever family to give him love and attention! This playful boy will make a good addition to any loving home.

Toast is a 9 month old kitty who was rescued with his mom and siblings from living in a culvert by a local dollar general. Toast was a sick little guy, and we were afraid he was going to lose his eye. He surprised us all when his eye healed and other then being slightly runny at times, it doesn’t give him any trouble. He is slow to trust people, so his new home will need to have patience to allow him an adjustment period. Once he trusts you, he’s the sweetest baby and will give head bumps and make biscuits on your lap. Toast has adjusted to indoor living well, gets along with other cats, and is litter box trained.

Toast is FIV/FeLV negative, neutered, and fully vaccinated.

Adoption fee: $30

Applications: www.maxshope.com

Please include your veterinarian name, number and the name your current pets are listed under. Also please check your information carefully. All current pets must be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Dogs must be on heart worm preventative. Our adoptable cats must live inside and adopters must agree not to declaw. If these criteria are not met, we will not process your application.

Adoption Process: This is not a first come, first serve organization. We will do our best to process applications within 48 business hours of receiving them. The application must be completed in full including first and last name, complete address including city and state, complete veterinarian information (this will be checked and all pets must be neutered or spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and dogs must be current on heartworm prevention) and the name of all current pets in the household. We are 100% volunteers and I will not subject anyone who is giving of themselves and their time to hostile conversations. Please be patient with us. We are not paid for our endless hours and are looking for the BEST home for the babies in our care. We will process your information and an email will be sent to the email you provide on the application.
