Tizzy and Smidge's Story
Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at https://alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Meet Tizzy & Smidge – a bonded tabby duo who were literally pulled off death row and decided to become professional house cats instead. They are approximately 11 months old.

These two were scheduled to be euthanized by a shelter before volunteers from Alley Cat Project stepped in and saved them at the last possible moment. Now they’re safe, spoiled, and using their second chance to sprint through hallways and proudly transport toys and “treasures” from room to room.

Tizzy (darker tabby, unhinged eye contact) is enthusiastically affectionate. Pets are mandatory. Cuddles are non-negotiable. Treats must be placed on the floor because hand-feeding is suspicious witchcraft. He is slightly uncoordinated, wildly enthusiastic, and always thrilled to exist.

Smidge (lighter tabby, chill vibe) is food-driven to a remarkable degree. If you are eating, he is also eating (in spirit). If you open a wrapper, he will appear nearby just in case you feel like sharing. He prefers to approve pets on his own schedule, but once consent is granted, he’s usually into it.

What Tizzy and Smidge are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They can get nervous, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them feel comfortable with new experiences.
- They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to their age.
- They have no known history with dogs.
- They get along with children.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:

- $200 per cat or kitten
- $350 for pair of cats or kittens
- $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
- Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care
- Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts

Thank you for your interest in Tizzy and Smidge! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt them by filling out this questionnaire: https://alleycatproject.org/adopt

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire and we will not respond. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match.

Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
