Tito's Story

Tito has a very special place in my heart!!! This boy came to me in November scared to death of people and unable to trust. Every moment he was afraid of being hurt. I can just try and imagine what he must have gone through to have so little faith in humans.

I had originally intended for this boy to be ear tipped and returned to the barn he came from. But when they “forgot” to do his ear something shifted in this boy. He started watching me. Waiting calmly when I came to feed him and change is litter. He started “chirping” at me when I was in the cat room. I started spending time in the evenings just sitting and reading in a chair near him. He would watch me, talk to me.

Tito is now big brother in my kitten room. He welcomes all the new kittens and cats. He keeps everyone in line simply by watching them!!! He loves scratches and even belly rubs!!! It was hard earned acceptance and loving from him but so worth it.

Tito will do well in a home with another cat. I do not think he would do well with dogs or small children. You will need to be patient and earn his trust but once you do it is so rewarding. This boy will be your loyal companion!!!!

Please consider opening your home and heart to this special boy. It will take time but he’s so worth it!!!

Apply online at cnycatcoalition.org/adoption-application (say you saw the cat on Petfinder)

Your donation of $160 will contribute to the cost of veterinary treatments the cat has received, such as spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccines, testing, microchipping, deworming, and flea and ear mite treatments.

Adoption includes a free lifetime microchip registration!
