Tinsel and Mistletoe's Story
Meet Tinsel and Mistletoe, a festive pair of kitten siblings! Born mid to late August, they are approximately 4 months old.

Tinsel and Mistletoe are both long haired black & white tuxedo cats. They are still warming up to the pampered life and looking for a home with a family that will give them the patience and encouragement they need to continue blossoming into confident, loving kitties.

Tinsel and Mistletoe are both play motivated, with Tinsel usually jumping right in, while Mistletoe joins in a little more cautiously. Both love all sorts of interactive toys including Da Bird and the Cat Dancer. They confidently play and run around their foster home, and are only a little shy about playing when there's visitors.

They are beginning to warm up to physical affection from their human and will nap on the couch near their foster parent. Mistletoe is currently the more confident of the pair when it comes to accepting scritches, and frequently enjoys some love once he's taking a break from playing. Tinsel is making huge progress too, and will occasionally enjoy a great snuggle session full of purrs. Tinsel will also make sure to remind you when dinner is late with his meows and has begun rubbing up on his foster parent's legs as they prepare his meals.

When Tinsel went in for his neuter surgery, he was noted to have a grade 5-6 heart murmur and moderate respiratory distress while under anesthesia. A follow-up veterinary examination without anesthesia did not detect a murmur or other abnormalities in his chest, including heart and lungs. For future procedures that require anesthesia, it is recommended he get an echocardiogram prior to ensure anesthesia is safe to proceed with. This isn’t a requirement but is strongly recommended for his safety. To be considered, please make sure to acknowledge Tinsel's potential medical needs in your application.

For more pictures & videos, check out this album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/qppvayu94ZXg9Yn3A

What Tinsel and Mistletoe are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They’re new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous.
- They can get nervous, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them feel comfortable with new experiences.
- They’ll need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to their age.
- They have no known history with dogs.
- They have no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Thank you for your interest in Tinsel and Mistletoe!
