Tinsel's Story

Tinsel is the shyer of the three brothers (Kringle and Olaf) but may be the most affectionate at this point. He's fairly content being held when he's feeling shy and will snuggle down to you if he thinks you're friendly. After he's feeling more comfortable, Tinsel likes to explore his surroundings to see what's going on. And although he's a little shyer, he's a bigger talker than Olaf when he's comfortable (but less than Kringle). He'd love to have a home to explore and play in!

Cat Association of Topeka's Adoption Policy
Anyone interested in adopting a cat or kitten is asked to fill out an application. This enables us to assist them in selecting a cat or kitten best suited to their wants and lifestyle. It also helps us avoid placing a cat in a situation where it may become stressed or endangered. We also ask that all family members come in to help pick out a cat.  The shelter will accept the return of any cat (adopted from C.A.T.) for any reason.  When a cat is brought into the shelter it is given a general exam, receives an upper respiratory vaccination, dewormed and a rabies vaccination. It is then spayed/neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia or Feline AIDS, and made available for adoption. Once an application is approved, adoption fees are $100 for kittens up to 6 months old, $75 for 6 months to 9 years old, and $35 for senior cats 10+ years old.  All new owners get a 10% discount in our Catty Shack Retail shop
