And when help finally appeared, Tinkie didn’t run from it, she accepted it immediately, as if she knew this was her chance to be safe again. From that day on, she has been nothing but grateful and loving.<br/><br/>Since coming into rescue, she has shown us her true self: affectionate, engaging, and quietly joyful. Her kittens have all found their forever homes, and now it’s finally Tinkie’s turn.<br/><br/>Tinkie is playful, talkative, and full of personality. She loves being involved in whatever you’re doing and has a special talent for climbing to the highest perch in the room so she can supervise life from above. Window watching is serious business, and she approaches it with focus, curiosity, and the contentment of a cat who is finally safe.<br/><br/>Playtime brings out her fun, bouncy side, she’s energetic, joyful, and always ready for the next round. <br/><br/>While Tinkie can coexist with respectful cats, her heart truly belongs to her humans. She would absolutely thrive as an only cat, soaking up all the attention, affection, and conversation she deserves after everything she’s been through.<br/><br/>Tinkie is FIV positive — and it doesn’t slow her down one bit. FIV+ cats can live long, happy, completely normal lives, especially as indoor companions. What she needs isn’t special treatment — just love, regular vet care, and a safe home. She is healthy, vibrant, and so ready to begin her next chapter.<br/><br/>After surviving life on the streets and raising her babies, Tinkie deserves stability. She deserves warmth. She is fully vetted: spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and flea-free. FIV is not typically fatal for cats, and positive cats can live healthy lives. FIV+ cats can face a compromised immune system, but with regular annual exams and medical care they can live long lives. FIV+ and non FIV+ cats can live together as long as they get along well and are comfortable sharing space. FIV does not require any special medications or diets and can only be spread to other cats through mating or deep bite wounds.
