Tilly and Clover's Story

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Meet Tilly and Clover, a bonded pair of sweet friends! Tilly is approximately 1 year old, and Clover is approximately 3 years old.

Tilly is a beautiful tabby with white who is curious, playful, and adorably coy. She loves hanging out with Clover, playing, and, of course, treats! Tilly has become especially affectionate and recently started climbing onto the bed for morning pets. She's still working on the logistics, however, and has a hilarious tendency to melt right back off the bed! Tilly also has a talent for collecting things, especially hair ties. If yours have mysteriously disappeared, she may know something about it!

Clover is a lovely brown tabby who enjoys playing with Tilly and keeping her people company. Clover is still cautious about hands approaching her, but she absolutely loves people in her own way. She shows her affection by rubbing against her foster's legs and enjoys pets when she feels comfortable enough to initiate them.. Like Tilly, she is very food motivated, and treats are a great way to earn her trust.

Tilly and Clover have come a long way since they were trapped in July 2025 as part of a rescue of 30 stray cats living in a colony. They arrived scared, sick with upper respiratory infections, and unsure of people. After more than a year in foster care, these sweet girls have blossomed into affectionate, trusting companions who are still gaining confidence every day.

They have a wonderful morning routine: following their foster around the house, rubbing against their legs, and eagerly waiting for breakfast. They spend their days napping in cozy spots, but when their foster is home in the evening, they're out and about and happy to be part of the household.

Both girls are sweet, food-motivated, and continuing to make adorable little breakthroughs. They may need some patience while they settle into a new home, but they've already shown how much love they have to give once they feel safe.
After everything they've been through, Tilly and Clover are ready for their forever home. Someone is going to be very lucky to watch these two continue to blossom!

What Tilly and Clover are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They’re new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous.
- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to their age.
- They have a positive history with dogs.
- They have no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Consistent with Association of Shelter Veterinarians (ASV) guidelines, ACP follows current shelter medicine practices and does not routinely test every healthy, low-risk cat for FIV and FeLV.

Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:

- $200 per cat or kitten
- $350 for pair of cats or kittens
- $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
- Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care
- Adjustable fee upon request for adopters who are low income, and seniors, disabled, or others with fixed incomes.
- Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts

Thank you for your interest in Tilly and Clover! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt them by filling out this questionnaire: alleycatproject.org/adopt

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire and we will not respond. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match. Local Seattle applicants only, please.

Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
