Tiger's Story

Can a tiger change his stripes? Ha! This tiger has NO stripes! I’m a black kitten with just a few white strands on my chest. I look pretty much like my brother, Patches! We were found in NW Rochester, along with our brother Sam, sister Gigi, and mom Miss Joni. We all went to a foster home in late September, where we got lots of TLC. My foster mom called me “the brave and fierce protector” back then, but I’ve decided that indoor life suits me. Now, I join in the kitten games. It’s fun to play, chase, and pounce on anything that moves! Roooaar! Tiger’s my name, and hunting’s my game! I think I’d love having a kitten or an active young adult for a buddy in my new home. I will be staying in my foster home for a while, so if you are interested in adopting me, please apply through the website or call the shelter to arrange to meet me.<br/><br/>Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Paws and Claws Humane Society's Adoption Policy

IMPORTANT UPDATE Although our shelter is open to potential adopters during the viewing hours listed on this page, Paws and Claws prefers to schedule viewings and adoptions by appointment. To make an appointment to meet and adopt one of the companion animals on our Website, we ask that you fill out an online application. Potential adopters can either click on the ADOPTION APPLICATION link on the right side of this page, or visit our Website at pawsandclaws.org and go to the "Willing to Adopt a Pet" section, then select the orange "Adoption Form" box. This will allow you to access the Adoption Guidelines and Application Form. After reading the Adoption Guidelines, either complete the online adoption form and return it to us, or print the Adoption Form, fill in the required information, sign it, and email it back to us via info@pawsandclaws.org. You may list up to four animals that you would like to meet. We review the emails every day. We will process all applications in the order that they are received and then once your application has been approved, we will contact you and set up an appointment for you to meet the animal(s) and if possible, do the adoption on the same day you come in.
