Tiger's Story

Hi, my name is Tiger, and I really believe I am one! I’m huge and confident and I always know what I want and am not shy about letting you know! I am 6 years old and I look a lot like a Maine Coon, but we don’t know my true background, as I was dumped and rescued from the inside of a truck engine when I was 5 weeks old. I am a true lap cat! Seriously- when you come into the room, I wait for you to sit down, so I can run over and immediately jump into your lap! Even if I don’t know you- if you come into my house and sit down- your lap is my happy spot. I LOVE having my head pet, but will really let you know if you are petting a spot I don’t like (stomach and tail), so I may not be the best fit for a home with young children. Don’t get me wrong- I love kids, but they may not know I’m really serious about those no-petting zones. I also love traveling, so if you put my open carrier on the floor, I jump right in, excited to go on the next adventure! I can be a bit demanding of pets when you first meet me, but some of that is that I’m pretty lonely without my human. Thank goodness I have my roommate, Cloud, to keep me company. I am always aware of absolutely everything happening around me. I’ll alert you when someone walks in the yard or knocks at the door, if an animal walks by, or when the birds are active. I will even alert you if a squirrel or raccoon creeps by at night. Because I pay attention to everything outdoors, I do try to escape hoping to play with the birds in person, so you will need to be careful not to let me out when opening the door. Luckily I love my treats and generally come back. Indoors, I play with anything and everything, anytime and anywhere. I’m neutered and fully up to date on vaccines and always use my box. At night I slept right by my human’s side. I miss her so much and really need to find my new human to sleep next to.

Our Mission
Our primary focus is on TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), but the kittens and friendly strays found during the trapping efforts cannot be ignored.  They are brought indoors, well-cared for in a non-shelter environment, and promoted for adoption upon a clean bill of health.
