Tico's Story

Meet Tico!

This petite beauty is a gentle soul looking for the simple pleasures in life! At 4 months old, Tico is a unique tabby/calico mix with an unusual and striking coat - she’s about half white with beautiful spots of orange, black and tabby patterns adorning her face and back, while her tummy stays pristinely white.

Tico embodies the art of quiet contentment. While her litter mates are busy with high-energy play, she prefers to observe from her favorite elevated, cozy bed where she can keep a gentle eye on all the comings and goings. She’s still learning to play but finds joy in the simple things - quietly cleaning her paws, leisurely trips to the food bowl for snacks and watching the world from her comfortable perch.

This sweet girl is becoming more friendly every day and will reward your patience with gentle purrs. She’s not hiding or fearful - she simply prefers to let others approach her rather than being the first to initiate. Tico gets along well with other cats and dogs, though she’d thrive best in a calm , peaceful, indoor environment.

Tico would be perfect for someone seeking a mellow companion who appreciates the quieter side of life. A young, high-energy household might be overwhelming for this gentle spirit - she’s looking for cozy spots to nap and a family who understands that sometimes the best company is the kind that doesn’t demand attention.

For Tico’s safety and health, we encourage indoor living. Our area has predators that pose a risk to outdoor cats, and indoor cats live longer, healthier lives - perfect for a girl who already prefers the indoor lifestyle!

Tico has already been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations - she’s ready to find her forever cozy home today! Originally thought to be part of a feral colony when found with her siblings, Tico has shown she’s ready for a life of comfort and quiet companionship.

All adoptions take place through Douglas County Animal Services.

Contact her foster mom, Heidi today to schedule a meet & greet! 760-644-8040 (call or text, but text will give you the fastest response)
