Thumper's Story

Thumper was put out on the street on a cold and rainy night in Brooklyn. Despite all he’s been through, this sweet boy is so appreciative to be inside and is playing up a storm and luxuriating in chin rubs. He is curious and smart and learning that snuggles and laps are fantastic. <br/><br/>He’s still pretty young, we think just over a year old, so he’d do well with another playful kitty or cat loving dog in the home. <br/><br/>He’s neutered, vaccinated and negative for FIV and FeLV. Please fill out the adoption application if you’d like to meet him.

Bookstore Cats's Adoption Policy

Filling out an adoption application is the first part of the process. Once the application is reviewed, I will check references and contact the applicant to set up a video interview. During the video the adopter will give me a tour of their living space, so that I can check for solid screens on all of the windows and any potential hazards to the cat. If approved, we will set up a time for them to meet the cat, either by video chat first or in person.
