This funny, friendly, and fun 2 year old boy has extra toes on both of his front paws (polydactyl).

Thumbs was found outside a soup kitchen in Flint by one of our dedicated foster volunteers. While our volunteer regularly TNRs cats in the area, Thumbs was clearly meant to be someone’s companion. Once settled into a foster home, it took about two weeks for him to fall in love with his foster mom and her granddaughters.

Thumbs will make a wonderful companion for a single person or a family with older children. He’s playful, adventurous and affectionate with one minute waiting around the corner to jump out at you, and the next minute curling up in your lap purring. He follows his foster mom from room to room like a loyal puppy and insists on joining her in the bathroom, where he happily jumps into the bathtub to chase his tail. He sleeps with his foster mom during the night and greets her when she wakes up every morning.

He loves laser pointers, catnip toys, and most of all, his people. Thumbs gets along well with other cats and older children, comes when his name is called (unless he’s in a very deep sleep), and has excellent litter box manners. He’s healthy, happy, and full of purrsonality.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a playful streak, Thumbs might be your purr-fect match.

Dogs: unknown, meet-and-greet required.

Children: best with older kids only; no young children due to sensitivity to fast movements.

Thumbs is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV tested negative.
