Thomas O'Malley's Story
Meet Thomas O'Malley!

And be prepared to fall in love. Its very difficult not to. Thomas was trapped during a standard TNR project. He was going to be released as we typically do. But after we had him for a few days, we knew we couldn't sent him back. He clearly had a rough life on the streets and it was his time to retire.

Thomas is a chunk with so much love to give. All he wants is a home that will give him all of the head scritches and some wet food. He is very social and will meow in his foster room if he hears you and would like some pets. Thomas would like us to point out, his smooshed ears give extra petting square footage as well. He will expect his new home to take advantage of this unique perk.

While he may be a senior, he is still full of energy. His favorite toys are plastic balls with bells in them. He frequently zooms around his foster room batting them around.

Thomas is looking for his perfect retirement home. This would include endless head scritches, wet food/treats, plenty of toys that roll, and a family that understands he can be a little sassy sometimes. After all, he did spend the first 8 years of his life surviving the streets. And he came to us with the battle wounds to prove it.

Thomas does fine with other cats if they are respectful of his boundaries. He would not do well with a very playful or dominant cat friend. Thomas would prefer a home without young children. He would probably do fine with older and respectful kids.

Thomas is FIV positive, but FeLv negative. FIV cats can live long, happy, and healthy lives a long side non FIV cats.

FIV is ONLY transmitted through deep bite wounds and usually happens when unaltered males are fighting over a female in heat. There is really no risk to other cats.

For more information on FIV, go to the link below.
