THISTLE's Story
Meet Thistle

Thistle is a lovely 3-year-old brown tabby with the softest coat and the gentlest spirit. She came into our care after being found alone in a carrier at a pet store—clearly once someone’s pet, but now ready for a new beginning with someone who will truly cherish her.

This sweet girl is a bit shy at first, but don’t let that fool you. Once she feels safe, Thistle shows her affectionate side in the quietest, most endearing ways—soft little meows, slow blinks, and the way she leans ever so slightly into your hand for pets. She’s not one to demand attention, but she deeply appreciates it.

Thistle would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can take her time settling in and building trust. She’s the perfect companion for someone who understands that love doesn’t always come loud—it can be found in the gentle presence of a cat curled beside you, content just to be near.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, tender-hearted companion, Thistle might be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is $50.
