Theodore's Story

Theodore "Teddy" - Professional Lap Warmer & Certified Sweetheart

If you've been dreaming of a cat who runs to you when you sit down...meet Teddy.
This handsome gentleman has traded his outdoor life for cozy couches -- and has fully embraced the indoor luxury lifestyle. Teddy is affectionate, cuddly, playful, and just the right amount of goofy. The moment you sit on the couch, he comes trotting over, hops into your lap, and settles in for snuggles. He curls up beside you for naps, gives enthusiastic leg rubs, and even drools a little when he's especially happy (it's his adorable signature move).

Teddy gets along well with other cats and has adjusted beautifully to indoor living. He would thrive in a calm, peaceful home where he can continue building confidence and soaking up attention. Because of his history outdoors, a dog-free home would be best.

Teddy is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and litter box trained. He is also FIV positive -- and doing wonderfully. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, completely normal lives. FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds (not through sharing bowls, grooming, or cuddling), which means FIV+ cats can safely live with FIV-negative cats in a stable home environment. Many FIV+ cats are known for being especially affectionate and people-oriented -- and Teddy fits that description perfectly. All he needs is an indoor home, routine vet care, and someone to love.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who will choose you as his favorite human and fill your home with gentle meows and unconditional love... Teddy is waiting. 🤍To inquire about adopting this cat please complete an adoption application at tinyurl.com/ccapadoptions

San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition's Adoption Policy
Although our primary mission is to work on feral cat issues, we devote considerable time to adopting out TAME kittens and adult cats. In order to better manage the feral cat population, friendly cats and kittens are removed from the streets, placed with fosters, and spay/neutered before placing them up for adoption. Young kittens born to feral cats are ideally left with their mom until they are ready for weaning. They are then placed in a foster home, socialized, and spayed/neutered prior to being put up for adoption. Our rescued tame cats are all privately fostered in homes throughout the San Antonio metro area.
