The Unknown Soldier's Story
The Unknown Soldier came to us Memorial Day weekend of 2024, hence his name. He has a very handsome bright orange coat and he loves other cats! Soldier would make an excellent friend for another cat. (He does very well when meeting new cats and seems to enjoy meeting them!) The Unknown Soldier can be very shy at first but he is also very sweet and has become a lap sitter once he is comfortable with you! He likes if you calmly sit on the ground with him and he is a sensitive soul. This boy does tend to be a little dramatic and, due to his skittishness with new people, he will take some extra time to adjust and some extra patience. This boy is looking for a forever home where he will have another cat or kitten companion! (We are REQUIRING that he goes to a home where he will have another feline companion!) Calm dogs would most likely be fine and we are recommending a calm home without any young children for this cat as he tends to be sensitive and doesn't appreciate a lot of chaos or manhandling.

Some other information to be aware of is that the Unknown Soldier did have a surgery while he was still a kitten for a condition that he had been born with called pectus excavatum. The surgery went great and the vet doesn't think it should impact him in his future in any way. (It has NOT seemed to impact him at all and we've had him for about 1 year now). Soldier seems to be totally normal now but we do want to make sure that people are aware of his past surgery as we cannot completely guarantee that there will never be any future implications at all for him. We want our adopters to be able to make informed choices!
The Unknown Soldier has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV/HW tested negative, microchipped, and his pectus excavatum has been treated! Interested adopters can submit an application by contacting HobosHome2020@yahoo.com or by sending us a message and we will send you the necessary form!
