The Sandwich Artist - likes other cats!'s Story
AKA Sandwich, she's a friendly girl who likes to go with the flow. She's super sweet and she loves pets and attention. She's pretty polite, too -- while her roommates meow and paw, Sandwich hangs around the perimeter quietly waiting her turn. She loves sitting on laps and doesn't mind being picked up. Sandwich gets along great with the other cats in her foster home; she likes to play with, nap with, and groom willing participants and does a good job of leaving cats who don't like her alone. She seems to prefer to live with other cats, so she's a great candidate if your cat wants a buddy! Sandwich has met the resident dog a few times and didn't bat an eye.

She has been in our care since mid November after initially being dumped with three kittens. Mysteriously, the kittens were not hers, but she graciously let them snuggle up with her for warmth and comfort. Sandwich was adopted but returned after a few weeks because she couldn't settle at night and would walk around meowing; her adopter thought that she was looking for other cats, and when she was returned to her foster home she settled right back in with her kitty friend.

Sandwich is about one year old and weighs 7 pounds. She is being fostered in Madison. Meet-and-greets/adoptions can be scheduled for the foster's home or at Precision Veterinary in Madison.

Send us a message or fill out an adoption application if you have any questions or if you're interested in meeting Ms. Sandwich.

Cats at Seymour Mutts Rescue come with the following care already provided:

Spay/neuter
Rabies and distemper (FVRCP) vaccines
Microchip
FeLV/FIV testing
Deworming
Flea preventative

Adoption Process
Seymour Mutts Rescue has open adoption policies based on recommendations from the Humane Society of the United States.
We don't require an adoption application and instead base our adoptions on conversations between potential adopters and foster homes. We do have an optional adoption application to help get the conversation started, or potential adopters can also send us a message or email. After chatting with the foster home, the next step is a meet and greet so everyone can get acquainted. If the adoption is a go we'll get the paperwork signed to make it official and send the pet home with their medical records. Same day adoptions are possible but not required.

Adoption Fee: We believe in lowering the barriers to adoption; because of this, we do not require a minimum adoption fee. We do, however, rely on financial contributions. Any funds received is at the discretion of the adopter and goes toward the care of animals in our rescue
