The Magnificent Maleficent

Three year old Maleficent was sadly failed by her first owners. She was found on a university campus, but was already spayed meaning at one time this beauty had a home. She was found with a severe skin infection and patches of fur missing. Our organization stepped in to give her the care and second chance she so desperately needed. It took over a month for her to recover before she could be integrated with her foster mom's other fur children. <br/><br/>Maleficent is a gentle giant; a Godzilla-cat as her foster likes to call her. She is a big girl who loves food and pets. She adjusts well to other calm cats, but is not a fan of kitten shenanigans (i.e. sneak attacks and play fights). She begrudgingly accepts the existence of dogs so long as they keep their distance and heed her warnings. <br/><br/>Maleficent is the kind of cat who takes a little time to trust. She is very communicative. She hisses when startled, scared, annoyed, or is generally displeased. She also has the loudest purr when she is happy and relaxed. Due to the fact that she has to build trust, Maleficent is the kind of cat who will have *her* person. Once she warms up to you she will sleep next you at night, greet your hand with little hops when you lean down to pet her, and will insist that the two of you share a nice meal now and then.
