Thackery is a stunning all-black kitten who's hoping it's finally his turn for forever! Thackery and his brother Wybie came to us very sick, with eye infections that needed extra care. While his eyes are still healing, that doesn't stop him one bit! Thackery is full of love and personality-he's sweet, playful, and always ready for affection. He'll come right up to you for pets and thrives on attention. This little charmer has such a big heart and just needs someone to give him the happy ending he deserves!

Henry County Humane Society's Adoption Policy

Our animals are tested, vaccinated, spayed/neutered before they go home and all is included in the adoption fee! Anyone interested in adopting a pet from HCHS must fill out an Adoption Questionnaire. The Adoption Specialists then interview the potential adopter. During the 24 hour waiting period, a background check is completed and a dog is checked for Heartworm and/or a cat is checked for feline leukemia. The Animal Care Technicians and the Adoption Specialists make sure that the best possible match between potential owner and pet is accomplished. Adoption fees include the cost to spay or neuter the animal. Dogs receive a heartworm check, DHPP vaccination (includes distempter, hepatitis, parvo & parainfluenze), physical at local veterinarian office, microchip
