Tess's Story
9/27/2003 Tess has had a rough time so far in her short life. She came to us as a ferrel kitten who we socialized. She was fortunate to be adopted and her personality was explained to the new owners. They thought they would be able to continue the socialization, but as you can see, it didn't work out.
Who ever adopts Tess will need to have a lot of patience waiting for her to warm up to them. It is not unusual for a socialized ferral kitten to hide and be fearful when they enter their new home. That is why we recommend keeping them in a large crate for a few weeks until they are accepting of their new owners. Tess did not ask to be born ferral, and unfortunately her's is the same story of many kittens born out in the wild.
If you would be interested in meeting Tess, please contact the Ipswich Humane Group, Inc at the number to the right of your screen (under Tess's picture). Tess may never be a lap cat, but we are confident that she will end up being a wonderful companion when she realizes she home for keeps!
